Can I purchase more than one course at a time?
Yes. You can buy multiple courses during a single shopping cart transaction. When you purchase over 10 courses at once, you will receive a reduced rate per course.

Can more than one individual receive a Certificate of Completion for a purchased course?
No. Each purchase produces one Certificate of Completion per course for an individual user. The name to be printed on the certificate is indicated at time of purchase.

What forms of payment do you take?
MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. Course access is available once your payment transaction is complete.

Can I get a refund?

No refunds will be issued once the course is purchased.

Is there a specific timeframe to complete a course(s) once purchased?
Yes. You will have 90 days to complete the purchased course(s) before access is automatically removed.

Once a course is completed, and I have passed the test, how long do I have access to the course?
Once you have passed the Module 4 test, completed the evaluation, and printed the Certificate of Completion, you will no longer have access to the purchased course content.

What if a printed Certificate of Completion is misplaced?
For 2 years after your last course purchase, you can access and reprint Certificates of Completion from the left-hand navigation under Administration, by clicking on “My profile settings” and selecting “Course Certificates”. For a fee, Kenyon HomeCare Consulting will reprint and email Certificates of Completion upon request.

How long will I have access to my Chronic Disease University account?
You will have access to your account for 2 years following your last course purchase.

Are there any guarantees?
There is no guarantee that passing a course indicates full understand or comprehension of all presented information. However, because the courses have been designed to focus on real world situations, we believe you will be highly motivated to work to understand the content, information, and guidance provided in the courses.

What is Moodle?
“Moodle” is the name of the e-learning platform or learning management system (LMS) that is used to house Chronic Disease University courses online. “Moodle” is an acronym that stands for “Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment.”

Why can’t I log into Chronic Disease University?
There could be many reasons but the most probable is you have simply forgotten your password, are trying the wrong one or are entering it incorrectly. Your password should be entered exactly as written on the email you received.

What if I have forgotten my password?

  1. Access Chronic Disease University, by going to https://www.kenyonhcc.com/moodle/
  2. Click the Log In link at the top right of the screen.
  3. Click on FORGOTTEN YOUR USERNAME OR PASSWORD? to open a new page titled Home> Log in> Forgotten Password.
  4. To reset your password, submit your username or your email address. If you can be found in the database, an email will be sent to your email address, with instructions on how to gain system access.

Why should I educate myself at this level?
Chronic Disease University allows you to increase your specialized knowledge of chronic diseases. As a result of the aging population diagnosed with multiple chronic diseases, many employers are anxious to provide specialized care to clients and are looking to hire employees with chronic disease certifications.

How does Chronic Disease University differ from other education offerings?
Chronic Disease University contains more in-depth interactive, case scenario based content than other training options. It prepares you to be a knowledgeable care expert and become a meaningful contributor to your team and the health of your clients. Each course is college-level content comprised of 4 modules. Each module includes quizzes and a test that must be passed before moving to the next module ensuring your understanding of the course content.

Are continuing education credits available through your courses?
Yes. Courses are approved for 8 clock hours of continuing education and meet the Medicare home health aide yearly education requirements. All Chronic Disease University courses are approved for 8 hours by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) to meet CE requirements for long term care workers. For more information, visit the DSHS website. If a course has been approved by The National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) for continuing education credits, the approved number of hours will appear on the Certificate of Completion. Contact cecomments@nabweb.org if you have questions or comments regarding NAB certification.

How long does it take to receive my Certificate of Completion?
A Certificate of Completion can be printed immediately once all four modules within the course are reviewed, embedded module quizzes completed, and each post-test passed with a grade of 80% or higher.

What is included in each 8-hour course?
