Ginny Kenyon
Ginny Kenyon, RN, MN Owner & CEO

Ginny’s knowledge and passion for helping clients achieve success defines the mission of her company. Ginny holds a master’s in nursing administration with minors in Business and Health Services. She worked as an administrator in Public Health, Home Health, Hospice, and Private Duty home care for the last 27 years.

She has a strong background in operations and program development through her experience with the visiting nurse services, national home health companies, and working with investors in startup companies. Ginny is also a nationally published home health author and speaker.

Ginny specializes in startup agencies as well as specialty education, strategic planning and executive coaching and mentoring.


Shelly L. Barrett
Shelly L. Barrett, RN, MBA, BSN, ET, CWCN, LMT Owner & CEO, S & R Barrett, LLC

Shelly has a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Bowling Green State University and a Master’s in Business and Administration from the University of Northwest Ohio. She studied at the RJ Turnball School of Enterostomal Therapy where she became an ET nurse who is certified in wound care. She later became a licensed massage therapist after completing coursework at the Dayton School of Medical Massage.

Shelly has 28 years in the hospice and home health industry ranging from clinical hands on care to senior management of an agency of 10 home health/ hospice branches, 2 adult day facilities, 2 inpatient hospice centers, and private duty out of all branches/ sub-units. Functioning as Vice President of Operations, Shelly functioned as the highest clinical administrator of the agency.

Shelly can assist with preparation for accreditation/ survey with CHAP, as well as assist with clinical and regulatory issues as well as personnel management. She has experience adding additional branches/ sub-units. Shelly can assist agencies with completing ADR’s and other clinical audits successfully. Shelly functions as an expert nurse witness in legal matters. Shelly has functioned on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving malpractice and fraud to clinical documentation review, preparation of legal documents, depositions, and testimony on behalf of the clients


Donna L. Grimm

Donna Grimm is a Graduate of Hamot Hospital School of Nursing, Graduate of Heidelberg College with BA in psychology, Graduate of LaSalle University with MS in Health Care Administration.
Experience includes, 2 years as school nurse-Heidelberg College, 2 years as a nursing instructor- Bowling Green Ohio, 2 years vocational instructor Health Occupations in Milan Ohio.

35 years- CEO- Community Health Professionals in Northwest Ohio- one of the co-founders of this agency. Upon retirement, this agency had 580 employees, was CHAP accredited; built 3 adult day care centers and 2 inpatient hospice centers and had 9 branches and subunits.

2 years site surveyor for CHAP while doing independent consulting. Served on the Ohio Council for Home Care-23 years, National Association of Homecare and Hospice for 8 years, and the Board of Review for CHAP for 9 years.


Sharon Fredrichs

Sharon has Thirty plus years of home health administrative and managerial experience. She is a goal-directed, visionary leader, change agent with comprehensive application of home health regulations, national standards of home care, DPHS and JCAHO survey preparation with home health, hospice, private duty, and a home infusion pharmacy integrated into surveys. She has extensive experience with survey recovery, plans of actions, education of inter-disciplines, inter-departments, and ongoing plans and development to sustain improvements. Sharon has extensive experience as an interim manager and Executive of home health, hospice, and private duty. She is also an experienced OASIS trainer.

Mark Schulz

Mark draws on over 18 years of health care leadership experience to provide consulting and coaching that is practical, results-oriented and relevant — not theoretical. A Certified Nursing Home Administrator in Oregon and Nevada and Certified Assisted Living Administrator in Oregon, Mark has led the startup and growth of a highly successful Medicare Certified Home Health Agency. He has worked extensively as an Administrator of Medicare Certified Home Health and Homecare Private Duty agencies and has successfully managed heavily Medicaid programs.

Mark’s core strengths are in strategic planning, budget development and direct staff management. He has coached homecare executives to increase revenues and improve staff performance; partnered with IT teams and field staff to implement new point of care software systems; and, supported a wide range of organizations in designing and implementing comprehensive agency policies and procedures and navigate compliance activities.


Thomas Nicholas

An innovative financial consultant, Tom Nicholas is known for developing and improving accounting policies and procedures in a manner that improves efficiency, saves money, and delivers timely results.

Mr. Nicholas is one of two principals at Boyd & Nicholas, a leading financial consulting firm serving home health and hospice organizations nationally. With expertise in cost report preparation, financial analysis, due diligence, accounting, and more, Mr. Nicholas contributes his knowledge to industry conferences and publications.

Tom currently serves as outsourced CFO for several home health agencies and has served as interim CFO for home health agencies and hospice agencies. Prior to founding Boyd & Nicholas, he worked for another national consulting firm from 1989 to 1993, in addition to serving as a Vice President of Finance and CFO of a transportation company. Mr. Nicholas has a BS in Accounting from Pepperdine University. Tom is a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor.


Jerry Cleveland
Jerry Cleveland, Executive Officer Senior Associate

Jerry Cleveland, former president and chief executive officer of Ministry Home Care, has worked in health care since 1970. He began his career at the VA in 1973, St. Luke’s Hospital in 1977 and formed Ministry Home Care in 1998. Jerry is involved with Ascension at Home on an as needed basis.

Jerry’s experience and background includes working with seven home health agencies, seven hospice programs, two hospice houses, two compounding pharmacies for home infusion, three home medical equipment warehouses and two retail locations, supportive care, a home office, Ministry LifeDirect Emergency Response systems, and a tele-monitoring program.

In 2013, Mr. Cleveland was appointed to the Ascension adhocracy charged with forming a national home care presence strategy for Ascension. He was instrumental in assuring a smooth transition of the organization into the newly formed Ascension Health at Home, a joint venture between Ascension Health and Evolution Health.

Jerry received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree of health administration from the University of Phoenix. He formerly served on the Marshfield Area United Way’s board of directors, the Marshfield Area Respite Care Center’s board of directors, the finance council of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield, is a past president of the Rotary Club of Marshfield Sunrise and Assistant District Governor of Rotary District 6250.


Steven A. Johnson

Steven Johnson served as the President and CEO of Central Coast VNA & Hospice (VNA) for more than 10 years. Steve also served as President of the non-profit MedStar Health VNA, a division of a $3.2 billion healthcare organization consisting of eight hospitals and healthcare services in the Baltimore-Washington, DC region. He has also served as President of Johns Hopkins Home Care Group, VP at UCSF Stanford Health Care, President of the Legacy VNA in Portland, where he was responsible for the Legacy Health System’s non-acute operations and he served as VP of home care services for Nova Health Systems.
 
Steve managed the 22-agency Upjohn Health Care Services in New York and Massachusetts. Steven is a native of Michigan and has spent his career becoming an expert in home health turnarounds.


Roseann M. Barrera
Roseann M. Barrera, RN, MSN, COQS Senior Associate

Roseann received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Ohio University, and her Master of Science Degree in Nursing Administration from Villanova University. As a Grad assistant at Villanova, her role was to develop the sub-specialty MSN program in Community Health with Dr. Claire Manfredi. She also achieved certification (CLNC®) as a Medical Legal Nurse Consultant and conducted a private practice for several years. She has over 14 years of experience in Home Care and Hospice, from direct patient care to Administrator and Director levels. She has taught Community Health Nursing at Villanova University and in 2018, she received her Certified Oasis, Quality Specialist Certification.
 
Roseann is an experienced and diversified health care professional, who enjoys the challenges of Start Up organizations. Roseann managed the startup of a home care agency that passed a JCAHO audit with commendation, and she developed a Preceptorship Program for new hires, at the largest privately-owned home care agency in Arizona. More recently Roseann provided leadership expertise to national home care agencies in support of clinical, quality and fiscal outcomes.

Roseann’s previous experience include management of the Oncology Program Development of TGEN Clinical Research Services at Scottsdale Healthcare (currently Honor Health). Her initial role focused on developing standard operating processes, hiring staff, development of operational procedures, and relationship building with key pharmaceutical sponsors.


Kristine Sanford
Kristine Sanford, RN, BHA, COS C-2 Senior Associate

Kristine Sanford is a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree in Health Care administration. She has over 10 years’ experience in the home health industry with both clinical hands-on experience and over 8 years in a leadership role.

As administrator of 3 CHAP accredited, Medicare certified home health agencies and 2 private duty agencies, Kristine has gained a wide range of knowledge and expertise in clinical, operational, regulatory, and compliance issues. Kristine also has experience in ZPIC audits, ADRs, and Medicare appeals.

As Vice President of Clinical Operations, Kristine’s role was oversight of clinical quality assurance, ensuring clinical documentation compliance, plans of care, infection control program, emergency preparedness, and performance improvement program. Kristine is OASIS certified and an Alzheimer’s training provider. She has additionally assisted with the development and startup of new home health agencies in her role as VP of Clinical operations.


Sera Rose

Sera Rose lives in Rockledge, FL with her two sons, Steven and Eric, who are ages 17 and 9. Sera has 14 years of home health experience and is HCS-D credentialed with 9 years of home health coding experience. She has a passion for home health and training clinicians how to accurately complete OASIS, identify primary diagnosis, and create a plan of care.

Sera’s specialty is making sure that the OASIS is correct with the correct and completed ICD-10 code that accurately reflects the reimbursement the agency is intitled to. OASIS education and training to support coding
